A little about me:

I am the proud wife of a Journeyman Lineman.  My husband and I have a young son, Sidney.  My son is still a baby, but I wanted to write a book to explain to him how important Daddy's job is, and that he may be called away to work at any time of the day...even on special occasions.  As the wife of a Lineman I have experienced the late night call outs, the calls during Christmas, birthday's and other special occasions, and the 20 hour work days during storms.  It is not easy, but I know that my husband takes his job very seriously and cares deeply about the customers he supplies power to.  I understand that it is his job to restore power (even at seemingly inconvenient times).  This book was my way of explaining to my son how much his Daddy loves him, and that being a Lineman often means working long hours, being called out late, and having to miss special events.  A Lineman is  a Hero - and Heros are always on call.

I am a stay at home mom and love getting to spend the days with my 1 year old son Sid.  We live on a small farm in Tillamook on the Oregon Coast.

Brag Box:

I am so proud of my husband.  He is the most hard working, dedicated, and caring man.  He truly loves his job.

As an apprentice my husband competed in Lineman's Rodoes and won many many awards.

In 2004 he placed
1st overall Apprentice in the Northwest Lineman's Rodeo

In 2005 and 2006 he placed
1st overall Apprentice Municipalitly Division

and 3rd place overall Apprentice both years at the International Lineman's Rodeo.

Every year thousands of Lineman compete in the International Lineman's Rodeo in Kansas City.  So, placing 1st and 3rd is a pretty big deal.  He worked hard to get there and he deserved to have his glory.
